How to turn off battery optimization for Nagish on Samsung Galaxy devices

Android’s battery optimization settings extend battery by limiting background activity but they may interfere with receiving calls.

Updated this week

Why This Matters

Android’s battery optimization settings help extend battery life by limiting background activity. However, in certain cases they may interfere with how apps like Nagish receive calls. To ensure you never miss an important conversation, follow the steps below to turn off battery optimization for the Nagish app.

Method 1: Through Battery Optimization Settings (Newer Samsung Models)

This prevents Samsung from putting the app to sleep in the background.

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app

  2. Tap Battery

  3. Tap Background app limits

  4. Tap Never Sleeping apps

  5. Tap the + (plus) icon

  6. Find and select Nagish

  7. Tap Add

Result: Nagish will now be excluded from battery-saving restrictions.

Method 2: Through “Device Care”

This ensures Android doesn’t limit Nagish’s background activity. This method works across most Android phones.

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app

  2. Tap Device care (or Battery and device care on newer models)

  3. Tap Battery

  4. Tap More battery settings

  5. Tap Optimize battery usage

  6. Tap the dropdown menu and select All apps

  7. Find Nagish in the list and toggle it off

Method 3: Disable Optimization via App Settings (For Older Phones)

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app

  2. Scroll down and tap Apps

  3. Find and tap Nagish from the list of apps

  4. Tap Battery

  5. Toggle off Optimize battery usage
